Transcending the Trends

I will say, I’m a little guilty when it comes to trendy shoes at times. I feel like my younger self wants to catch that trend or at least try it out and see how it looks on me. I tried the Adidas x Yeezy “Calabasas” sneaker that’s reminiscent of the classic Reebok sneaker and absolutely hated those. I felt completely “washed” trying to style those and make those even remotely something I could wear on a regular basis. On the other hand, I did manage to cop a pair of the Adidas x Yeezy Boost 700, which I believe re-sparked the whole “Dad Shoe”, chunkier, oversized sneaker trend and I actually really like them. From comfort to style, I feel the 700s don’t feel like I’m trying too hard, versus majority of the industry did with their iterations. I know that most won’t even attempt to rock them and I totally get it, so I made a list of a few styles, that are more so timeless, that will transcend the trends. There are a few more styles, that I didn’t post that are price conscious and I will mention/feature these over the next few posts.

Here’s a few of my current favorites that will be in style, long past the “dad shoe” trend.
